My 130 yr old farmhouse in the city!

I fell in love with how pretty this old house was , but as you can see it needs alot of TLC. But we are in it for the long haul. We always wanted to fix up an old home, and the location is perfect! Great schools, close to work and nice neighborhood! I love the character and details.
Just look at the origional porch, we painted all the trim with really subtle victorian colors, really adds alot, before was just plain white!

Still need to do landscaping as it really needs more curb appeal.

The porch needs a peak, In my opinion over the door with some nice details, and I really want to add trim around the front door. If you have any ideas, please let me know.........My front door is called Super Nova by Benjamin Moore and I just love it...Purple, eggplant color, so great against the orange brick!!!!

  1. Your house is so pretty!!!!! I love that color of the trim with the door color!!
I think you could add some instant curb appeal by adding hanging baskets with orange and purple flowers. Try panting the woven baskets the same color as the trim.

  3. What a gorgeous house!Just found your blog on my friend Chris's Just Beachy! If anyone can give you inspiration it's her! Your flagstone is lovely and expensive, our neighbours spent over 100,000 on their flagstone driveway! I'd keep it!
    Happy Canada Day Weekend!

  4. I love it! I would add a border of perennials along the walk and like Eddie said, some hanging baskets would be fun -
A planted fern and a church pew bench in that purple color...or a swing...for easy porch livin.
